About Dr. Ruby Kevala, Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Ruby Kevala received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles. Dr. Kevala graduated second in her class, Magna Cum Laude. She has appeared four times in Who’s Who, and was also honored as a competitively selected provider for the Free Chiropractic Clinic at the L.A. Mission. Dr. Kevala has been invited to join MENSA.
Dr. Kevala believes that clinical excellence must always be the driving forcebehind her approach to the treatment of any patient. She has invested her time and energy in extensive additional training, so that she may bring the best of Chiropractic, Functional Neurology, Functional Metabolic Treatment and other natural therapies to her patients; she continually keeps herself on the cutting edge of her field.
Dr. Kevala believes that no two patients are identical in their treatment needs; it is in this spirit that she utilizes a variety of techniques to assist her patients’ healing process. Dr. Kevala is an expert in both Myofascial Release and Trigger Point therapies; they are integral components of her treatment methods. She is also certified in the Graston Technique and a master practitioner of Taylor Soft Tissue Technique (developed by Lyn Paul Taylor, RPT of the Advanced Therapy Institute in Los Angeles). Dr. Kevala’s patients have included every type of person, from NFL football players, stuntmen, musicians and surfers to children and senior citizens.
Dr. Kevala’s chiropractic clinic, Pro-Active Health Center, is conveniently located on Market Street in Ventura, California between Donlon and Walter Streets.
